Jim, Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how pleased we were with our new home and the way you approached your customers. Some builders take a "take it or leave it" attitude towards their buyers which our in-laws recently experienced with another builder. This blasé attitude probably does not foster any warm and fuzzy feelings on the buyers' part as they fork over hundreds of thousands of dollars for their newly built home not to mention the amount of upgrades one would have to purchase to bring their home into the 21st century. Every time we went to talk to the suppliers - cabinetry, lighting, etc.- they always said: "Jim at Century is the only one who does this - all the other builders would charge an upgrade for this..." This means a lot as you really feel that you picked the right builder and that all the other new homeowners were not as quite as fortunate as you are. Secondly, the quality of the home is excellent particularly the trim. The amount of crown molding, wainscoting and the oversized trim package makes the home feel rich and everyone who visits us cannot believe it is included in the base price. I wish you the best of luck, but if the amount of Century signs posted in the subdivision are any indication, I think good, honest work has already paved the way. Sincerely,

Dear Jim: I waited a while to write this letter because I wanted to live in the house for some time before I gave my accolades. When we worked with you in designing and building this house, things seemed to go almost too smoothly. We kept wondering when the proverbial "other shoe" was going to drop. As time went by and things continued to go smoothly, I was left wondering if it would be after move-in that we would find all the problems that are typical of building a new home. We knew we couldn't be so fortunate to have found the one builder who was actually true to his word and end up with the home of our dreams in the end. Well, guess what? We did, and we have you to thank for that. Being in the construction industry ourselves, we know that things never go exactly as planned. There are always changes, errors, repairs, etc. that cause both the contractor and the new owner headaches. To our surprise, none of this ever became an issue while building this house. It seems you have made it your mission to step out of the "contractors box" and to truly put customer service at the very top of your list of importance. We are constantly amazed at the speed with which any and all issues are resolved. When we first moved in and found those "new house" issues, we'd call you with the thought that some time in the next month or so someone would come over to take a look at our problem. To our amazement, each and every problem was handled within a timeframe of 24 hours or less (and typically someone was at our house within 30 minutes). In addition, you would call me yourself the next day to be sure that the problem had been fixed. Now let me talk about the quality of the home we purchased. This was a HUGE purchase to us. It took almost 4 years to find the right lot and the right builder to build the home of our dreams. When I walked into your model I felt instantly at home. You had so many beautiful features incorporated into your model (which we later found out were not add-ons, but were in fact standard features in your homes). Since we had spent so much time looking at homes over the years, we knew that your construction was of the highest quality and the pricing was very fair. Now that we have lived here for 9 months, we know for sure that we could not have made a better decision than the one we finally made in choosing your company to build our home. We have met and spoken with many of my new neighbors and have found that both the quality of your work and your customer service stand out among the crowd. We've actually had people knock on our door and ask us about details of our home and the name of the contractor. We never fail to point out your office/model to anyone who asks and will gladly give them your phone number when you move your office to another subdivision. It is a great feeling to come home to a house that not only looks beautiful, but makes us happy just to be in. I have heard horror stories that some people have had, about the builders and process of building a house. But I cannot stress enough what a great experience that we had. You were so easy and accommodating to work with that it was much less stressful than it could have been, and I was very impressed at the response I received with any minor problems that occurred after the closing of the house. Building a home takes a lot of trust in the builder because of the size of the investment.
